Broadstairs MOT Centre is looking for a highly motivated MOT Tester & Service Technician to join our busy team.
As part of the Bosch Car Service network, our independent, family-run garage is at the forefront of vehicle maintenance, servicing, repairs and diagnostics. We specialise in modern, quality cars for MOT, servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
The role
You’ll be working on a wide range of makes and models, carrying out MOT testing and vehicle servicing to the highest standards. You’ll be expected to work efficiently to job times, complete job cards accurately, and support the team in maintaining consistently high workshop standards.
Regular employee targets will be set, and you’ll need to work to the Bosch Approved Code of Practice at all times.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a qualified MOT Tester for Class V vehicles
- Be qualified to NVQ Level 3
- Have experience working across a range of vehicle makes and models
- Be proficient in completing vehicle servicing to a high standard
- Be confident working independently and as part of a small, busy team
- Be confident when dealing with customers
- Have their own extensive range of tools suitable for servicing tasks, and be prepared to reinvest in additional tools when necessary
- Hold a full, clean driving licence
- Be able to read technical bulletins and stay up to date with developments and changes in the motor industry
- Be enthusiastic and professional
Desirable (but not essential)
- Motorcycle MOT qualification (preferred)
- Experience of electric and hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
- Experience of the Bosch Car Service Network (preferred but not essential)
Training
Bosch training courses could be available for the successful candidate (subject to terms and conditions). Bosch Car Service workshops enjoy the full support of Bosch, the leading supplier of original automotive equipment.
Hours & pay
- 45-hour week, plus every other Saturday morning
- Salary: £38,000 (subject to experience and qualifications – certification must be presented)
- Auto-enrolment Pension Scheme
- Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
- Pay: £38,000.00 per year
